Job Description
We are seeking Engineering Cost Estimators to support our Manufacturing Engineering teams at Raytheon ELCAN. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multiple functions including Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and Finance to develop detailed cost and time estimates for engineering and fabrication activities, including labor, tooling, non‑recurring expenses (NRE), and other direct costs (ODC).
What You Will Do
- Develop detailed cost and time estimates for engineering and fabrication activities
- Collaborate with a cross‑functional team including Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development
What You Will Learn
- Internal manufacturing processes by collaborating with subject‑matter experts to create accurate processing estimates
Qualifications You Must Have
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in cost estimation, engineering activities, or procurement processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge through study, instruction, or experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics
- Experience/knowledge of optical or opto‑mechanical assembly
- Technical ability to interpret drawings and geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is 54,000 CAD – 93,150 CAD. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program. Eligibility for specific benefits is based on position level, employment type (e.g., temporary or permanent), and business unit.
