Her initiatives span across multiple levels of education, including K-12 CBSE Schools (MITVGS), Junior Colleges, MIT CORER, Barshi, MIT VishwaPrayag University (MIT VPU), Solapur etc. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an exceptionally organized, proactive, and discreet Assistant to support the Director - Strategy & Operations in the Office of the Trustee & Secretary General.
The Director leads the long-term strategic planning, operational oversight, and policy development for all MIT VGS Schools and Junior Colleges across Maharashtra, while also being a key contributor to the branding and institutional strategy of MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur, and other units under the office of the Trustee & Secretary General. The role operates at the highest levels of institutional leadership and interfaces directly with the Trustee & Secretary General's office.
This is not a routine administrative position. The ideal candidate will function as a strategic righthand, capable of managing high-stakes communications, driving follow-through on executivepriorities, and enabling the Director to operate at peak effectiveness across a complex, multi-unit educational ecosystem. _KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic & Operational SupportTrack progress on strategic initiatives, key decisions, and action points across all units following up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completionPrepare briefs, research summaries, dashboards, and meeting dossiers to support the Director's decision-makingAssist in the coordination and documentation of leadership reviews, strategy sessions, and institutional planning meetingsSupport branding and communication projects by coordinating with design, content, and external teams as neededStakeholder & Cross-Functional CoordinationAct as the primary liaison between the Director's office and unit heads, department leads, and external partnersCoordinate with the Trustee & Secretary General's office for scheduling, communication, and strategic alignmentFacilitate seamless communication across all units.Confidentiality & GovernanceHandle sensitive institutional information with the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrityMaintain organized records, filing systems, and institutional documentation for the Director's officeAssist in preparing governance-related documents, board notes, and institutional reports as directedExecutive Support & Office ManagementManage and optimize the Director's calendar, scheduling meetings, site visits, reviews, and institutional engagements across multiple units and geographiesDraft, review, and manage official correspondence, executive communications, reports, presentations, and notes on behalf of the DirectorScreen and prioritize incoming communications (email, calls, messages) with sound judgment and discretionCoordinate domestic travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics for the Director and senior leadership as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORQualificationsBachelor's degree required (Preferably an engineering Graduate) with as MBA preferred (fields such as Management, Communications, Education Administration, or related disciplines)5-7 years of experience in similar position, or senior administrative role, preferably within a large organization, educational institution, or professional services environmentPrior exposure to education management, institutional operations, or multi-unit organizations is a strong advantageSkills & CompetenciesExceptional written and verbal communication in English (proficiency in Marathi and Hindi is strongly preferred)Strong proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and project/task management tools (e.g., Notion, Trello, Asana)High emotional intelligence able to manage relationships across all levels of the institution with tact, sensitivity, and professionalismAbility to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work under pressure with minimal supervisionSharp attention to detail, structured thinking, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetComfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving prioritiesPersonal AttributesDiscretion and integrity in handling confidential informationA deep alignment with the values of Science, Spirituality & Service that underpin MIT's institutional ethosSelf-starter with a sense of ownership and initiativeAdaptable and eager to grow within a complex leadership environment _
