Job Summary

A Fashion Designer with 2+ years of experience responsible for developing creative and production-ready apparel designs. The role requires strong understanding of garment construction, patterns, embroidery techniques, and trend forecasting, along with the ability to coordinate with production teams and karigars to ensure high-quality execution from concept to final product.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts based on current fashion trends and brand requirements
• Create and refine garment sketches and design concepts
• Prepare detailed tech packs for production teams
• Work closely with pattern masters and handle khakha development for sampling
• Ensure proper understanding and execution of garment fits and patterns
• Coordinate with machine and hand embroidery karigars for design execution
• Supervise embroidery detailing and ensure design accuracy
• Select appropriate fabrics, color palettes, and trims based on trends
• Collaborate with sampling and production teams for timely execution
• Ensure quality control and consistency in final garments
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of garment patterns, fits, and construction
• Knowledge of embroidery techniques (hand and machine)
• Good sense of fashion trends, color palette, and styling
• Ability to create detailed tech packs
• Experience working with pattern masters and khakha development
• Ability to coordinate with embroidery karigars and production teams
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Strong sketching and illustration skills
  

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or related field preferred
• Specialized training in garment construction or design is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in fashion design and garment development
• Experience in western wear design preferred
