Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for our products, including installation supervision, commissioning, and scheduled/unscheduled annual service.
- Deliver remote support to customers via email, phone, and secure remote connection tools.
- Conduct product training for customers both on-site and at our headquarters.

Commissioning and Field Service
- Pre-Commissioning: Ensure site readiness for commissioning using progress tracking tools and maintain weekly communication with the customer.
- On-Site Execution: Lead installation supervision, cold and hot commissioning, performance testing, and customer training. Generate weekly site reports and complete all commissioning sign-off documentation.
- Post-Commissioning: Submit as-commissioned drawings and visit reports. Complete expense reports, follow up on action items, update system configuration files, and participate in post-project review meetings to provide customer feedback.

In-House Support
- Assist the Project team with pre-shipping activities, including system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and customer training sessions.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement by testing software releases and validating new product versions.
- Maintain technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, manuals, and training materials.
- Participate in design maintenance activities, including the creation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Provide technical application support to the Sales team and production support to the Manufacturing department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or a post-secondary diploma in a technology field, combined with relevant experience.
- P.Eng., E.I.T., or similar professional designation is a strong asset.
- 5-10 years of experience with control, automation, and electromechanical products and systems.
Experience in industrial, automotive, or aerospace environments is preferred.
- Must be eligible for frequent international travel to customer manufacturing facilities worldwide, with no impediments to entering all countries where our products are installed.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficient in using electrical, mechanical, and networking tools (e.g., digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test/measurement equipment).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and network diagrams.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and Automation systems (both use and design principles).
- Strong awareness of and commitment to industrial safety procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship skills.
- Highly professional, diplomatic, and adept at building relationships with internal and external customers.
- Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
