Field Service Technician

Position Summary

Levata is seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of technology solutions at customer sites, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and strong client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, technically capable, and comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
  • Wireless networking equipment (APs, controllers)
  • Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A)
  • RFID and IoT solutions (where applicable)
  • POS, scanners, printers, and related hardware
• Execute project work including:
  • Access point mounting and alignment
  • Cable runs, terminations, and testing
  • Equipment rack/IDF/MDF setup
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while onsite
• Ensure all work is completed to professional and safety standards
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation:
  • Service reports
  • Installation photos
  • Test results (Fluke or equivalent where required)
• Communicate effectively with:
  • Customers onsite
  • Dispatch and project coordination teams
• Manage time, travel, and assigned work orders to meet project timelines

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in field service or low‑voltage/network installations
• Strong understanding of:
  • Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
  • Wireless networking fundamentals
• Experience with:
  • Cable termination and testing
  • Mounting hardware and cable pathways (J‑hooks, conduit, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Floor plans
  • Network diagrams
• Valid driver’s license and must have access to vehicle everyday
• Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Cisco Meraki, Extreme, Fortinet, or similar wireless platforms
  • RFID or warehouse technologies
• Certifications (nice to have):
  • Network+ / CCNA
  • Manufacturer certifications (Meraki, Extreme, etc.)
  • Lift certification / Working at Heights
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Work Environment

• Field‑based role with travel to customer locations
• Work may include:
  • Warehouses, retail environments, offices, and industrial sites
• Occasional after‑hours or weekend work depending on project requirements
