Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS Platform – Identity and Cloud Governance. The role owns end-to-end finance support, including P&L management and planning for AWS Identity and Cloud Governance services. It drives strategic new feature launches and process improvements across the organization.
The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple time‑sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, manage risks and opportunities, possess strong business partnership skills, and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
- Own the end‑to‑end revenue creation lifecycle for services and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
- Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a combination of Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root cause, and creating/implementing escalation plans
- 5+ years of experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- MBA or CPA
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting results

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary: 95,400.00 – 163,200.00 USD annually. The total compensation package may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
