Overview
A Finance Manager to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, with a strong focus on cost control and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and the financial implications of production, inventory, and supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with operational goals and strategic plans.
- Analyze financial performance, including cost of goods sold (COGS), production variances, and inventory valuation.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to evaluate cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership.
- Monitor and manage working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
- Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for new equipment and facility investments.
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and production finance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
