Our client is a professional association in financial services in Toronto. The organization operates nationally, and is recognized as an essential component of the Canadian P&C insurance industry. Supporting Canadians and the Canadian economy through its highly efficient and effective administration of automobile insurance residual markets and data governance; the organization is sought out for its objective opinion on residual markets and related issues. As Manager Finance , you will oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements while leading a team of accounting professionals responsible for the monthly and year-end financial close processes. In addition, the role has an element of financial planning and analysis and ad hoc projects. Note, the company has doubled in size over the last couple of years with continued growth anticipated. The ideal candidate brings a CPA designation, managerial experience and, preferably financial services or insurance experience. The role offers excellent flexibility with an opportunity to work mostly remotely , with only one day per week required in office.
Compensation is comprehensive, with an excellent vacation and benefits plan. Although largely remote, this role does require employees to live within a reasonable, albeit, occasional commuting distance to Toronto.
