The organisation has built a strong reputation within its sector and offers a supportive, close-knit working environment.This role is ideal for a hands-on Finance Manager or experienced Senior Management Accountant looking to step up into a broad, end-to-end finance position with real ownership.The RoleReporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting strategic decision-making as the business continues to grow.Key responsibilities include:Managing and supporting a small transactional finance teamFull ownership of the nominal ledger and trial balancePreparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowProducing detailed analysis and commentary for board reportingLeading month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsPreparing consolidated accounts and supporting reporting to external stakeholders and fundersSupporting forecasting and cash flow planning, including covenant complianceMaintaining and improving financial controls and processesAssisting with year-end and audit preparationSupporting on projects and commercial analysis to aid business growthReviewing supplier costs and supporting contract negotiationsAbout YouWe're looking for a proactive and detail-driven finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on, growing environment.AAT / ACCA / CIMA qualified or qualified by experienceStrong background in management accounts and month-end processesPrevious experience in a commercially focused roleConfident managing or mentoring junior staffStrong Excel skills and experience with Sage 50Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detailAble to work independently and take ownership of the finance functionExperience within a growing SME or multi-entity environment is highly advantageousWhat's on OfferSalary circa £45,000 - £50,00025 days holiday + bank holidaysMedical cash plan & death in service coverPension schemeStable, supportive team environmentGenuine opportunity to grow with the business as it expandsUnique rural office settingThis is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager looking to take ownership in a growing organisation where you can make a real impact and develop alongside the business.To apply or discuss the role in confidence, please contact Sharp ConsultancySharp Consultancy is a finance and accountancy recruitment specialist assisting accounting and finance divisions of businesses in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area.
