Amazon Studios is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Amazon Studios Operations and AI Studios business teams. An ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing cross‑functional financial processes and a strong track record of building reports, models, and processes from scratch.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete financial forecasting and reporting for Studios Finance.
- Create complex financial models to improve P&L and cash forecasts, develop robust analytical frameworks, and collaborate with multiple teams to gather inputs and build reporting processes.
- Collaborate across multiple studio business teams to translate the business plan into financial statements.
- Build investment valuation frameworks to deliver ROI on new studio business opportunities.
- Build out financial models, reports, trackers, and cross‑functional processes from scratch.
- Execute process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Implement strategies to increase the efficiency of financial processes.
A day in the life: this role requires strong financial modelling skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to influence at the working level. It involves regular interaction with teams across Amazon Studios and Prime Video, strong communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and the capacity to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
- 6+ years applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 6+ years building financial and operational reports and data sets that inform business decision‑making.
- 6+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 5+ years dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating or implementing escalation plans.
- 6+ years solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis and recommendations that positively impact business outcomes.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL and ETL.
- Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos and other financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards.
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, and interpreting results.
