Chalk Hill Group are supporting a growing and purpose-led organisation within the Financial Services sector who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its senior finance team.This is a key leadership role responsible for safeguarding financial integrity, ensuring robust reporting standards, and supporting ongoing finance transformation initiatives. The organisation is investing heavily in systems, automation, and process improvement, creating an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving change while maintaining strong financial governance.Key Responsibilities:Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with UK GAAP and relevant legislationLead production of statutory accounts and monthly management accountsMaintain accounting records and support wider business performance reportingManage treasury activities, including cashflow forecasting and reportingEnsure effective liquidity management and strong financial controlsLead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionalsFoster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the finance functionWork closely with FP&A to align actuals, budgets, forecasts, and long-term planningSupport preparation of P&Ls, balance sheets, cashflows, and cost allocation modelsContribute to monthly business performance reportingMaintain a strong internal control environmentManage relationships with internal and external auditorsPrepare technical accounting papers and support governance committees where requiredSupport ongoing development and optimisation of newly implemented ERP systemDrive improvements in reporting, automation, and financial processesPartner with Finance Systems and IT teams to enhance controls and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled toolsKey Skills and Experience:Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical accounting knowledgeExperience of UK GAAP or IFRS reporting standards Recent statutory accounts preparation experienceProven leadership experience managing and developing finance teamsStrong understanding of financial controls, governance, and auditExperience within financial services or a similarly regulated sectorExperience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable ERP systemsStrong communication and business partnering skillsExperience supporting finance transformation initiatives (desirable)Exposure to process automation and systems improvement projects (desirable)Benefits:Competitive bonus schemeGenerous pension contribution28 days holiday, with option to buy/sell additional leaveFlexible benefits allowancePrivate health and wellbeing supportEmployee discounts and recognition schemesVolunteering daysWellbeing resources and support programmesHybrid working - 2 days per week in the office, 3 days per week from homeChalk Hill Group is a Recruitment Agency.
