Job SummaryThe Finance Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance, accounting, and compliance activities of the organization. This role requires a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in financials, audit, controllership, direct tax, GST, and statutory compliances, ensuring accuracy, regulatory adherence, and strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Financials & ControllershipManage end-to-end accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and periodic closuresEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / AS)Assist in maintaining financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPsMonitor expenses, working capital, and cash flowAudit ManagementSupport and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax auditsAct as a key point of contact with auditors and consultantsAssist in the closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actionsDirect TaxationHandle direct tax compliance, including computation, advance tax workings, TDS, and return filingsAssist in responding to tax notices and assessmentsCoordinate with tax advisors for compliance and documentationGST & Indirect TaxationManage GST compliance, including return preparation, reconciliations, and paymentsEnsure timely filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returnsSupport handling of GST audits, notices, and queriesStatutory & Regulatory CompliancesEnsure compliance with Companies Act requirements and ROC filingsMaintain statutory registers, documentation, and recordsSupport FEMA or other regulatory compliance, if applicableReporting & CoordinationPrepare MIS reports and basic financial analysis for management reviewCoordinate with internal teams such as HR, legal, and operations on finance mattersSystems & Process SupportWork on accounting systems/ERP for accurate reporting and controlsSupport process improvements and basic automation initiatives
Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory3-4 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accountingHands-on exposure to financial accounting, audits, direct tax, GST, and compliancesExperience working with accounting/ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)Experience in D2C/E-commerce/FMCG/Beauty/cosmetics industry will be an added advantage.
