Financial Reporting Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail‑driven Financial Reporting Manager to lead external and internal reporting, ensure GAAP compliance, and enhance reporting processes within a larger, multi‑entity environment. This hybrid role in Cleveland provides high visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to strengthen the organization’s financial reporting framework.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead the preparation of supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including proper application of accounting standards
• Manage the coordination and completion of external audits and reviews
• Prepare and review footnotes, MD&A‑style commentary, and disclosure documentation
• Partner with technical accounting to assess new accounting standards and their impacts
• Participate in consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and multi‑entity reporting
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and documentation
• Assist with system enhancements and process improvements within reporting workflows
• Supervise and mentor reporting or general accounting team members as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience; mix of public accounting and corporate reporting strongly valued
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, disclosures, and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with consolidations, multi‑entity environments, and audit coordination
• Strong analytical, writing, and documentation skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
