Fractional Palantir Foundry Ontology Lead — Remote

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery conversations around Palantir Foundry, ontology design, and data/AI use cases.
• Translate business workflows into scalable Foundry ontology structures, including objects, properties, relationships, and mappings.
• Advise on Foundry implementation strategy, ontology governance, data onboarding, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and engineers to define practical implementation roadmaps.
• Guide delivery teams on how to structure pipelines, ontology layers, and data models to support business outcomes.
• Support client workshops and occasional onsite sessions, potentially in Chicago or Houston.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, especially ontology design and data modeling.
• Proven ability to design ontology objects, relationships, mappings, and business-facing data structures.
• Experience leading or supporting business discovery workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Foundry pipelines, Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, and data integration workflows.
• Solid technical background with Python, PySpark, SQL, and enterprise data environments.
• Experience with complex healthcare, clinical, claims, supply chain, financial, ERP/CRM, or regulated datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain Foundry concepts to business stakeholders.
• Based in the United States and open to occasional client travel.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

• Advisory retainer at USD $100/hour
• Fractional advisory engagement: approximately 10-20 hours per month
• Remote work arrangement
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship; C2C may be considered
