We are looking for a Manager, Fund Operations to drive the operational execution and administration of our private equity funds. This role is the primary owner of the fund's lifecycle, responsible for ensuring proper corporate governance, seamless capital movements, managing external service providers, and providing high-touch support for investment closings and investor relations.
Responsibilities
Fund Administration & Investor OperationsCoordination with service providers for setting up entities and overseeing that all corporate actions are in place for these entities in terms of any regulatory filings at inception and over the life cycle of the entitiesCapital Call & Distribution Execution: Manage the end-to-end workflow for capital calls and distributions, including the issuance of notices to Limited Partners (LPs) and tracking incoming/outgoing fundsLPA Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure all fund activities adhere to the operational constraints defined in the Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA), such as investment periods and concentration limitsExternal Provider Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for fund administrators and custodians, ensuring service levels meet institutional standards
Investment Execution & Portfolio OperationsDeal Closing Management: Lead the operational closing process for new investments, including coordinating with escrow agents and ensuring all funding conditions are satisfiedKnow Your Customer (KYC) / AML: Oversee the onboarding and ongoing monitoring of investors and investee companies, acting as a liaison for regulatory documentationInvestment Record Keeping: Maintain the official record of the fund’s ownership in portfolio companies, including tracking share certificates and corporate restructuring documentsData Integration: Oversee the flow of operational data from portfolio companies to ensure accurate internal management information (MIS)
Liaison Investor Inquiry Resolution: Respond to operational Due Diligence (DD) questionnaires and ad-hoc requests from investors regarding fund mechanicsStakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with banks, industry bodies, and professional service firms to ensure smooth operational delivery
QualificationsA degree holder in accounting, legal, risk management or business administration, ACG/FCG (CSIS) certification would be an added advantageAt least 5-8 years of working experience within an asset management business with solid experience in investment complianceExperience in dealing with regulatory matters in Singapore and in other jurisdictions would be an added advantageHighly motivated self-starter, excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, conscientious and flexible good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks, plan time and meet deadlines, collaborative mentality, along with the gravitas to work closely with senior stakeholdersOrientation to use AI and tech tools for improved productivity
