Medical and Spiritual Gender Affirming Care

Overview

How do medical and spiritual leaders guide individuals through gender transitions? I am hoping to speak with Hijra gurus, spiritual leaders, and healthcare workers providing gender affirming care to discuss the process of transitioning and conceptions of gender within their line of work.

I am an undergraduate student at Barnard College conducting research on medical and spiritual practices involved in gender transitions. My project is being funded by the Laidlaw Foundation and advised by Professor Tey Meadow at Columbia University. It has qualified for an IRB exemption because I am asking professionals about their occupation.

All responses will be kept anonymous, confidential, and utilized for academic purposes only.
