General Manager

We're hiring: General Manager – Operations

Amadora Gourmet Ice Cream is looking for a senior operator to take full ownership of our retail operations — 12+ franchise stores plus company-operated outlets across Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, supplied by our central production kitchen in Chennai.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be in stores, on calls with franchisees, in the kitchen, and in the numbers. The middle management layer needs to be rebuilt, so for the first few months you'll be running the network directly while you hire and develop the team that reports into you.

What you'll own:

• P&L and operational performance of every store, franchise and company-operated
• Franchisee relationships across three cities — onboarding, training, performance, escalations
• SOP rollout and compliance across the network
• Coordination with our central kitchen on supply, indents, and new product launches
• Building out the operations team — cluster managers, trainers, and support roles

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years in F&B, QSR, or organised retail operations, with at least 3 years running multi-store, multi-city networks
• Direct experience with franchisees, not just company-owned stores
• Someone who treats execution as the job — not slide-making or strategy decks, but actually getting things done on the ground
• Comfortable in stores, in spreadsheets, and in tough conversations in equal measure
• Willing to build a team from the ground up, not just inherit one
• Based in or willing to relocate to Chennai
