This is a Fort Lauderdale-based general contractor recognized for excellence in healthcare construction. With decades of experience delivering hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgical centers, and medical office buildings, we are committed to building environments that support healing, safety, and operational efficiency. We are currently seeking a General Superintendent to join our growing team and lead complex healthcare construction projects in Miami, FL.
Job Description
Oversee day-to-day site operations on healthcare construction projects, ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution. Coordinate all field activities, including scheduling trades, managing materials, and maintaining site logistics. Ensure full compliance with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) standards and infection control risk assessments (ICRA).
Serve as the main point of contact between the field and the office team (Project Managers, Engineers, Clients). Conduct daily jobsite walks, safety inspections, and enforce safety and cleanliness protocols. Maintain accurate and up-to-date field reports, schedules, inspections, and as-builts.
Lead subcontractor meetings and ensure project milestones are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital administration and third-party inspectors. Collaborate with owners, architects, and inspectors to quickly resolve field issues.

The Successful Applicant
10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role. Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation healthcare projects (hospital or medical facility experience required). In-depth knowledge of healthcare construction protocols, ICRA, AHCA, and related safety standards.
OSHA 30 Certification (Required); ICRA Certification (Preferred). Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and MEP systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Proficient in Procore, MS Project, or similar project management/scheduling tools. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally across job sites in the Miami area.
