Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards of safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
This position is located in Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage supply chain strategies on a global scale
- Drive the strategic aspects of large complex cross‑functional projects
- Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling
- Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth at AWS scale in both the short‑term and long‑term horizons
- Engage with global supply chain counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives
- Drive innovation through the supply chain
- Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making
- Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements
- Manage supplier performance and allocation of material to demands based on priority
- Manage cross‑functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
- Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category
- Requires travel up to 20% of the year
A Day in the Life
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon
- Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage and consolidate the supply base using system level tools and techniques
- Understand forecasting, demand planning, material planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments
- Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency in the supply chain without driving excess
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives to continually lower risk and reduce lead times
- Influence suppliers’ manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations experience
- 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations
- Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python
- Experience with global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
