Provide strategic legal advice and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the banking sectorDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.Manage legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate potential liabilities.Oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, ensuring the company's interests are safeguarded.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with legal policies and procedures.Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's objectives in the financial services industryLead and manage the legal team to drive efficiency and effectiveness.The Successful Applicant
A successful Head Legal should have:
A recognised degree in Law from a reputable institution and 15 years of experienceExperience in handling legal matters within the banking or financial services industryStrong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.Proven ability to handle complex legal negotiations and disputes effectively.Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
