Health and Safety Coordinator

Main responsibilities Hazard Identification: Conduct regular workplace inspections to detect dangerous conditions. Safety Analysis: Evaluate risks related to workstations, equipment, and production processes. Program Development: Create and update prevention programs (lockout/tagout, working at heights, confined spaces, WHMIS, etc.).

Training and Awareness Onboarding: Train new employees on safety rules as soon as they arrive. Facilitation: Organize "toolbox talks" and specific training sessions. H&S Committee: Lead the Health and Safety Committee, follow up on recommendations, and engage members.

Operational and Administrative Management Investigations and Analysis: In the event of an accident or near-miss, conduct an investigation to identify root causes and implement corrective measures. Legal Compliance: Ensure the company complies with current laws, regulations, and standards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Manage inventory, selection, and fitting of protective gear.

Claims and Case Management Workers' Comp Follow-up: Manage workplace accident files from the initial report to the return-to-work process in collaboration with the Human Resources Advisors. Temporary Assignments: Collaborate with managers and the Human Resources Advisors to identify light duties that allow injured employees to return to work progressively. Education University degree in Human Resources / Health and Safety certification required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Requirements Excellent knowledge of the French spoken and written language. Knowledge of English (bilingualism is an important asset and sometimes even a requirement).
