This is a fully remote internship.
Candidates local to San Diego may have optional access to GigaKOM facilities.
Position Overview
The HR & Talent Acquisition Recruiter will support day-to-day recruiting operations and assist with employee engagement initiatives across the organization. This role provides exposure to domestic and international hiring processes, HR coordination, and organizational development.
This is a learning-focused internship designed for individuals interested in building real-world experience in human resources, talent acquisition, and global workforce operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Support
- Assist with sourcing candidates across multiple departments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Accounting)
- Screen resumes and coordinate virtual interviews with candidates
- Maintain candidate pipelines and update applicant tracking systems
- Draft and post job descriptions across job boards and platforms
International Hiring & HR Coordination
- Support recruiting efforts for both U.S. and international candidates
- Learn and assist with compliance considerations in international hiring
- Coordinate with internal HR and leadership teams on hiring processes
- Track recruitment progress and reporting metrics
Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives
- Assist in planning and supporting employee engagement programs
- Collaborate with HR and Marketing teams on internal initiatives
- Help monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback
- Contribute ideas to improve employee experience and retention
Onboarding & Documentation
- Assist with onboarding materials and internal HR documentation
- Help organize and improve HR processes and workflows
- Support documentation of best practices and internal guides
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with hiring managers and leadership across departments
- Gain exposure to business operations and workforce planning
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to HR initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new tools
Preferred
- Coursework or project experience in HR, recruitment, or international business
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, job boards, or applicant tracking systems
- Interest in recruiting for technical or IT-related roles
