Description
The Human Resource Advisor will help design and lead the Company’s implementation of a new employee engagement and dispute resolution program and processes. This will include benchmarking, program design, process and policy design and improvement, investigation and utilization of best practices, implementation and oversight. The Advisor also provides oversight for local site/business unit needs in the areas of employee engagement, employee relations, change management, and execution of HR core processes (where appropriate).
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight and support for local site / business unit needs in the areas of employee engagement, employee relations, change management, local training delivery, data gathering and documentation and community relations.
- May provide core process consultation or execution support in complex work environments or to multiple geographies or business units.
- Manages complex employee relations matters including investigations, escalations, remediation and process management.
- Partners with CoE leaders to develop or refresh company policies to ensure compliance.
- Conducts internal analysis to simplify, harmonize and centralize company practices to align with policies and ensure consistent and equitable treatment.
- Develops a roadmap and implementation plan to transform existing employee relations communication, reporting and compliance vehicles to a more leveraged enterprise insource or outsource model.
- Supports CHRO or VP Legal to develop and deliver internal presentations or stakeholder interviews to support transformation of employee relations solutions.
- Supports the planning, sequencing and execution of local change initiatives.
- Ensures the ongoing sustainment of the HR Service Delivery model.
- Coaches and supports line managers in driving the business and creating greater organizational health.
- Other miscellaneous duties assigned as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Arts Degree
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience with specific competence in effectively managing complex labor or employee relations environments and demonstrated experience effectively leading teams and/or successfully implementing change management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of different employee advocacy approaches, programs, tools, etc. that ensure compliance and develop organizational employee relations capability.
- Led complex employee investigations, supported external arbitration hearings as HR company representative or labor relations experience.
- Change management approaches, methodologies and tools.
- Data analysis and process management skills.
- Conducted employee relations, investigation or policy awareness training.
- Ability to conduct training and proficient in Excel, Word and presentation software.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures and effective daily application.
- Facilitates meetings where emotions may be high.
- Possesses sound judgment and the ability to listen, assess problems and arrive at logical conclusions that balance HR practices with business needs.
- Credible, professional, and exhibits high executive maturity.
- Works effectively and efficiently in a matrix management environment.
