About the RoleThe firm is seeking a seasoned HR Business Relationship Manager (HRBP) to join its Human Resources team. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role - a genuine seat at the table with senior business leaders across the group's multiple financial services verticals. The HRBP will own the full employee lifecycle post-onboarding and will be the go-to HR advisor for Ambit's front-office and support functions alike.The ideal candidate brings intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and the sensitivity to navigate the nuances of a performance-driven financial services culture.
This is not a process-execution role - it requires an HR professional who can challenge, counsel, and partner at the most senior levels.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Engagement & CultureDesign and implement initiatives to drive employee engagement and promote a positive, high-performance culture aligned with the firm's values.Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations - addressing grievances and facilitating structured conflict resolution.Learning & DevelopmentCollaborate with L&D teams to identify skills gaps and development needs, driving targeted training programmes and leadership development initiatives.Support managers and employees in career development planning and succession pipeline building.Performance Management & RewardsGuide managers and teams through performance appraisal cycles, goal-setting frameworks, and performance improvement conversations.Partner with Compensation & Benefits to align rewards programmes with business objectives and sustain high levels of employee motivation.HR Advisory & Stakeholder ManagementServe as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders - providing insights on workforce dynamics, organisational health, and HR best practices.Support change management efforts and foster cross-functional collaboration for effective people management.Compliance & HR OperationsEnsure adherence to labour laws, HR policies, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to financial services.Maintain accurate HR data and generate meaningful analytics and insights for business reviews and leadership decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile7 - 10 years of experience as an HRBP or senior HR advisory role, with exposure to boutique investment banks, private wealth firms, or financial services brokerages strongly preferred.Demonstrable expertise in employee engagement, L&D, performance management, and complex employee relations.High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with senior stakeholders with discretion and confidence.Strong analytical mindset - comfortable using data to tell a compelling HR story.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.MBA in Human Resources from a recognised institution is mandatory.
