A need has been identified for a Human Resources Manager to be based in their Saskatoon, SK office. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager will lead and support the full scope of Human Resources across the organization. This role blends strategic partnership with hands-on execution and is ideal for an HR leader who enjoys being close to the business, and building practical people solutions that support both day-to-day operations and longer-term organizational goals.
You will provide leadership across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll and benefits coordination, policy development, workforce planning, engagement, and compliance. You will also lead an HR and administrative team, including an HR Coordinator and Office Coordinator, and serve as a trusted resource to leaders and employees throughout the business. What You’ll Do Partner with leadership to align HR priorities with operational needs and business goals.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and day-to-day people matters. Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts that help attract, hire, and retain strong talent. Support employee engagement, development, and succession planning initiatives that strengthen culture and organizational capability.
Oversee HR policies, processes, and programs to support consistency, compliance, and best practices. Coordinate payroll and benefits activities with accuracy, care, and attention to detail. Support workplace health, safety, wellness, disability management, and return-to-work processes, including coordination connected to the company’s COR-certified safety program.
Monitor HR reporting and metrics to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement. Lead, coach, and support the HR and administrative team. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will bring well-rounded Human Resources experience and a practical approach to supporting both leadership and employees.
They will be comfortable working across a broad range of HR responsibilities and confident providing guidance on day-to-day people matters while also contributing to longer-term workforce planning and organizational priorities. This individual will be an approachable and credible HR leader with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust across the organization. They will be effective in supporting managers, handling employee relations matters, and leading a small team with professionalism, consistency, and discretion.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate brings strong generalist HR experience, the confidence to work across a broad scope of responsibilities, and the judgment to navigate sensitive matters with professionalism and care. You are approachable, credible, organized, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.
At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a broad generalist environment, including leadership responsibility. Experience advising managers and operational leaders on employee relations, performance, and workplace issues. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support others while building trust across all levels of an organization.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR practices, and the practical application of policy. Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Sound judgment, discretion, and confidence when handling confidential or complex situations.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. Experience in technical, industrial, engineering, construction, manufacturing, field-based, or similar operational environments would be considered an asset. An HR designation, exposure to multi-site operations, or experience supporting workplace safety initiatives would also be considered valuable.
