Job Description
Purpose of the Role
Perform all hydro dam surveillance analysis in the Hydro Dam especially related civil engineering (structure, geotechnical & hydrology) by identifying and solving breakdown information and processing problems, providing recommendations to the customer (Hydro Operation, Hydro Maintenance & Dam Engineer) to improve reliability in optimizing dam instrumentation monitoring and physical availability of Hydro Dam performances within cost effectiveness, environmental and safety standard manners. Perform work requests (preventive & corrective maintenance, inspection, support services, modification & improvement) are processed in place on schedule, adequate resources and correct format synergies with the system.
Accountabilities: Implementing and supervising energy management, Environment, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations and energy management system by ensuring working environmental conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and 5S under area responsibility with the aim of minimizing risk, achieving safe and secure conditions (zero harm), clean-environment, and achieved work productivity targets. Provide analysis of root-cause failure within coordination to Surveillance Team Leader, Planners Data Technician and Dam Engineers to ensure the proper dam instrumentation operation process. Prepare reports, breakdown report and documentation with analysis, result, and recommendations for further action.
Coordinate with Cost & SWAP Accounting and Manager Hydro Dam Surveillance to maintain operational budget. Ensure all measurement parameters of dam instrumentation to achieve overall performance plan which predicted in advance & maintain historical database to full historical record. Prepare and review geotechnical and civil design calculations and reports under supervision, ensuring compliance with company standards and national/international codes.
Identify, develop, and implement initiatives for Environmental Utilities equipment to be operating with high reliability and availability to achieve government standards. Coordinate initiatives to transfer knowledge and strengthen comprehension of measurement instrumentation parameters, guaranteeing that equipment expertise is effectively communicated to Surveillance Operators and other operational stakeholders.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with minimum 3 years’ experience in related field. Experience in civil structures, civil hydro (water resources engineering) and geotech is preferred. Good understanding of geotechnical engineering, hydrology, and soil mechanics.
Good understanding of applicable engineering design standards, national and international standards. Good understanding of hydro dam instrumentation, tools calibration, abseiling/rope access and emergency response plan. Certified as Frontline Operation Management (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) is preferred.
Basic Dam Certification, ISO Dam Certification, Dam Operation & Maintenance Certification is preferred. Fluent in English communication (writing, reading, speaking) Computer literate, experience in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point), Autocad, Staad Pro, HEC-RAS & Plaxis/Geostudio. Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).
