Job Description
This Indigenous Support Programs Officer role is exclusively for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. The position is full-time, located at CQUniversity Townsville or Gladstone offices and classified as Higher Education Worker Level 5.
Total remuneration ranges from $99,443 to $111,863 per annum, inclusive of salary ($84,031 to $94,526), 17% superannuation and leave loading.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level administrative support and coordinate services related to scholarships and the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Program (ITAP).
- Respond to student enquiries and maintain accurate records, coordinating with staff and academic teams to deliver culturally appropriate support.
- Promote scholarship opportunities and organise participation in university events.
- Maintain essential systems and processes, improving workflows and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering high‑level administrative support in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication, with ability to draft professional documentation accurately.
- Strong customer service skills and understanding of the needs of a culturally diverse university community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web‑based systems and CRM platforms.
- Organisational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities, with initiative and a collaborative approach.
