Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited residency
• Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Infectious Disease or a related specialty
• Ability to provide coverage for a minimum of 1 full week (7 days); preference for candidates with additional availability

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new inpatient infectious disease consults and provide follow-up care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-hospitalists, critical care, pharmacy, and nursing-to deliver comprehensive infectious disease management
• Document patient care, treatment plans, and progress in the electronic medical record per facility protocols
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and ensure continuity of care for hospitalized patients
• Support antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention initiatives to maintain high standards of patient safety and quality
