JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, synchronize, and manage the overall healthcare of assigned individuals/families.
- Must meet agency standards of service hours, productivity, and fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure successful and timely implementation of special projects, new services, etc. as required.
- Provide daily oversight to all assigned team members including coordination, planning and delegation of work to assist individuals/families. Team members may include a combination of bachelors level clinicians and/or Lived Experience clinicians.
- Review timecards for accuracy, approving time off requests, adjusting time entries as needed and final approving all timekeeping records for assigned team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve employee relations issues working with management team and Human Resources.
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling.
- Ensure implementation of all individual and family care plans.
- Screening and crisis intervention as directed.
- Assessment of individuals/families at initial and subsequent sessions to obtain information relevant to presenting problem, need for emergent services, and referral to appropriate clinical services.
- Provides diagnostic impression and treatment planning.
- Directs, facilitates, and documents treatment team meetings.
- Completes collaborative documentation of services in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
- Ensures integrated teams clinical documentation is completed in a thorough, accurate and a timely manner.
- Consults with other agencies and professionals regarding individuals/families, including day care centers, schools, court systems, health clinics, physicians, clergy, other mental health professionals, etc. with appropriate releases of information.
- Participate in and document monthly peer case consultation/individual supervision to team members, appropriately identifying ethical concerns and staffing in accordance with protocol.
- Must maintain licensure and/or board approved supervision requirements.
- Ensure assigned integrated team maintain respective credentials/certifications.
- Ensure attendance and participation in required training and any follow-up needs addressed for integrated team.
Must perform the specific job duties as listed above to meet position expectations.
In addition, must possess skill in working cooperatively and effectively with consumers, staff, management and other professional groups; in exercising mature judgement in dealing with people; in presenting ideas clearly and accurately; in reading and comprehending the English language; and in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles and applications of psychological theories and treatment models with respect to group and individual behavior; of mental illness, its symptoms, treatment, and social implications in relation to individuals/families.
Skill in assessing and diagnosing for the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
Skills for evaluating a wide variety of clinical data for use in carrying out courses of treatment.
Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and/or psychology as it relates to current social and economic problems to better serve individuals/families.
Knowledge of personality development and structure.
Knowledge of general age groups and other special populations, as well as core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Ability to correctly interpret and implement agency policies and procedures.
Knowledge of appropriate management and supervisory principles and the ability to implement accordingly.
Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, delegate responsibilities, organize, and present facts effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency.
Ability to interface with individuals/families, administration, clinical staff, support staff, and the public in a clear, polite, professional, and respectful manner.
An expectation of core competencies in relation to the individuals with co-occurring disorders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Practitioners with a license to practice in the state in which services are provided, licensed by one of the licensing boards listed in (A) through (F) below.
- Psychology,
- Social Work (clinical specialty only),
- Professional Counselor,
- Marriage and Family Therapist,
- Behavioral Practitioner, or
- Alcohol and Drug Counselor-MH
