Job Description
A reputable International Law Firm is looking to grow its Intellectual Property & Technology practice in Singapore and is seeking a junior-to-mid-level Associate to join their expanding team. The role offers exposure to a wide range of matters, including intellectual property disputes, technology transactions, data protection, and regulatory advisory work. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex mandates, advising both international and regional clients across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:Advise clients on IP, technology, media, and telecommunications matters, including regulatory and compliance issues.Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as licensing, outsourcing, and technology transfer contracts.Support clients on data protection, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects.Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical advice on IP/TMT frameworks and developments.Represent clients in contentious IP matters, including enforcement and dispute resolution.Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions to deliver seamless client service.Liaise with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders to ensure effective case and project management.
Requirements:Singapore-qualified lawyer with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience.Solid experience in IP/TMT matters, with exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work.Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with commercial awareness of technology and IP markets.Familiarity with data protection laws, regulatory regimes, and cross-border issues will be advantageous.Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing work.Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively within a team.Proactive, adaptable, and motivated to deepen expertise in IP/TMT.
