We're currently recruiting for an experienced IT Endpoint Field Service Engineer to support a growing laboratory network across Hertfordshire and West Essex. This is a hands-on, field-based role with a strong focus on hardware support, troubleshooting, and site-based IT service delivery.The RoleYou'll be responsible for providing onsite IT support across a hub laboratory in Watford and multiple spoke sites, ensuring endpoint systems and hardware are running efficiently.Key responsibilities include:Providing desktop and endpoint support across multiple sitesDeploying, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices)Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issuesSupporting upgrades, repairs, and ongoing maintenanceCarrying out regular site visits and responding to support requestsAssisting with IT projects and transformation initiatives within new laboratory environmentsActing as a point of escalation and working closely with wider IT teamsLocation & TravelPrimary base: Watford Initial training: Kings CrossFrequent travel to sites across Hertfordshire and Essex, including Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, and WatfordA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential (mileage reimbursed for travel outside base location)About YouWe're looking for someone confident, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.Essential skills & experience:Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar IT support / field engineer roleStrong hands-on experience with:Hardware provisioning, troubleshooting & repairsPCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devicesBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, port patching, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to manage workload independently across multiple sitesDesirable:Experience supporting IT projects or transformation workPrevious experience in a multi-site environmentWorking Hours & Benefits40 hours per week (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday)1-hour lunch breakOccasional out-of-hours work may be required for urgent issues24 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days after 5 years' serviceMileage expenses paid for travel outside base locationThis is a great opportunity for an experienced IT engineer looking for a varied, autonomous role with real responsibility and involvement in exciting infrastructure projects
