IT Manager

A well established organisation in the sports sector is looking for a hands‑on IT Manager to run the IT function day‑to‑day. This is a standalone position with real responsibility where you’ll own operations and deliver practical improvements. Key responsibilities Own day‑to‑day IT operations, infrastructure and core systems Provide on‑site IT support for events Implement upgrades, automation and process improvements Maintain security, resilience and scalability of systems Manage third‑party suppliers and vendors Be the main technical contact for non‑technical colleagues What we’re looking for 3+ years’ hands‑on experience in IT operations/infrastructure Broad practical knowledge (networks, cloud services, hardware, core apps) Able to work independently and make decisions Strong communicator who can explain tech simply Calm under pressure and happy with time‑sensitive tasks Interest in sport is a plus, but not essential What’s on offer Full ownership of the IT function Visible impact and clear progression as the organisation grows Supportive leadership Please note: visa sponsorship is not available.
