Java Software Engineer

URGENT HIRE

6+ Months Contract to Hire

Remote, Must have Java spring, and openshift, Kafka, Rabbit MQ

• Ability to provide technical leadership to drive an execution team through ambiguity to reach innovative ways to problem solve solutions.
• Ability to design and engineer software solutions, including documenting, collaborating, and aligning with portfolio architects, solution architects, and the local team.
• Strong ability to communicate, facilitate, educate within a group setting.
• Strong ability to collaborate with others to solve local problems or complex design solutions both in and outside the team.
• Ability to balance problem solving or working on for a variety of systems unrelated to one another.
• Passion and appetite to drive technical improvements with the goal of speeding up delivery.
• Assist, coach, and mentor other engineers on the team with day-to-day challenges, complex coding issues and/or problem solving.
• The ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues into simple terms so other non-technical people outside of technology can understand.
• Experienced in maturing and gaining adoption of devops and engineering practices.
• Experience in engineering of either existing or new solutions, enterprise integrations patterns, and/or microservices architecture.
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing learnings with others.
• Ability to solve complex problems into sustainable and long-term solutions
• Technical/Tool Experience
• 9+ years in Java, spring framework
• 2+ years using Openshift, event driven technologies (Kafka, Rabbit)
• 5+ years leveraging database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo)
• 3+ years with event driven and microservices design
• 3+ years of data analysis, business rules, new data sourcing discovery
• 3+ years using GitHub, devops practices, and tools
