Java Software Engineer

About the Role

This role supports a high-priority application enhancement and modernization initiative. The Java Developer will work closely with development teams and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications using Java 17/21 and Spring MVC
• Build and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AJAX
• Work with Oracle databases to design, query, and maintain data structures
• Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical requirements
• Support application upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Strong proficiency in Java 17/21
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring MVC
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AJAX
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and Mockito

Compensation (MA Pay Transparency)

Estimated hourly range: $55–$60/hr (W-2)

Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
