Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. This role requires a valid Journeyman card and hands‑on experience maintaining production machinery in an industrial environment.
The ideal candidate has a background in hydraulic press repair, pneumatic systems, PLC troubleshooting, and general mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Perform arc welding as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment.
- Repair or replace electrical components (basic level)
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical and control components.
- Dismantle, inspect, and replace defective mechanical components.
- Follow all safety procedures and support a safe work environment.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and PLC indicators.
- Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate or repair parts.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment including motors, engines, conveyors, and production machinery.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Valid Journeyman card in an approved mechanical or industrial trade.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform PLC‑level diagnostics.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical training preferred; candidates may qualify with 6 months to 1 year of relevant hands‑on experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis.
- Preventive maintenance program experience.
- Experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Visual acuity for close work, color differentiation, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Moderate to high noise levels depending on production activity.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals, vibration, and elevated work areas.
