Junior Scientist - Radar Electromagnetic Materials (Thermal & IR Support)Location: DelhiDepartment: Materials R&D (Radar, Thermal & IR Camouflage)Experience: 1-3 YearsQualification: M.Sc / M.Tech in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field Role OverviewWe are seeking a Junior Scientist - Radar Electromagnetic Materials to support the development of advanced materials for radar signature reduction, thermal management, and IR camouflage applications.This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in electromagnetic materials and material characterization, who can assist senior scientists in R&D projects involving multispectral stealth technologies. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of dielectric and magnetic materials for radar absorption and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shieldingSupport thermal and infrared (IR) material development, including coatings and substrates for signature controlPerform material synthesis using techniques such as solid-state and sol-gel processingPrepare samples including pellet formation, coating, and substrate preparationConduct basic material characterization:Structural analysis (XRD)Morphology studies (SEM)Functional group identification (FTIR)Electrical property evaluation (LCR meter / VNA - basic level)Assist in testing and evaluation of electromagnetic and thermal propertiesMaintain laboratory records and support technical documentation and reportingCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Thermal, Coatings, Testing, Simulation)Basic Skills & Technical RequirementsFundamental understanding of:Dielectric materials and electromagnetic wave interactionMagnetic materials and absorption mechanismsPolymer science and composite materialsHands-on or academic exposure to:Material synthesis (solid-state / sol-gel methods)Sample preparation techniques (pellet pressing, coating application)Basic knowledge of characterization tools:XRD (crystal structure)SEM (surface morphology)FTIR (chemical bonding)LCR meter / VNA (electrical & dielectric properties - fundamentals)Ability to interpret experimental data and present findingsBasic technical report writing skills Preferred SkillsExposure to radar absorbing materials (RAM) or EMI shielding materialsUnderstanding of thermal emissivity and IR signature conceptsFamiliarity with coating technologies or thin filmsBasic knowledge of simulation tools (COMSOL, CST - optional)Strong analytical and problem-solving mindsetWillingness to work in a hands-on lab environmentAbility to learn quickly and adapt to multidisciplinary R&D workGood communication and documentation skillsHow to Apply:Interested candidate can share their resume at : or can DM to:
