Lab Technician (Electronics testing) (Santa Clara)

Job Location: 3910 Freedom Circle Drive Suite 102, Santa Clara, CA 95054

Position Type: 6 months with possible extension

Pay Rate $50/hr

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or an engineering field with an emphasis on electronics packaging and thermal management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working in electronics testing laboratory is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electronics assembly, thermal management and thermal interface materials.

• Ability to gather, understand, and interpret mechanical, thermal and chemical test data.

• Understanding of mathematical and statistical methods relevant to thermal performance testing.

• Solid interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word & Excel. Familiarity with Statistical Analysis Software is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Executes engineering test requests accurately and efficiently while adhering to site safety practices.

• Operate various lab equipment including robotic liquid dispensing equipment, thermal performance testing systems, Pick&Place machines, microscopes, and mechanical property testers.

• Draft technical testing reports using digital documentation tools.

• Performs internal and external lab demonstrations and training.

• Maintain material inventory in the lab storage.

• Ensures laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations.

• Participates in site's safety and/or 5S programs
