This individual will support first shift operations (7:30am to 4:00pm).
Responsibilities
- Testing all chemical incoming, in-process, spent process & waste water samples for internal/external use.
- Prepare lab reagents for analytical instrumental testing.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance, Engineering & Maintenance Departments to provide chemical results of sample testing.
- Follow appropriate methodologies and SOP's as required.
- Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
- Label and characterize containers as per the Transportation of Dangerous Goods for proper disposal of spent solutions and sludge.
- Calibrate and maintain chemical instruments and tools.
- Inspect, replenish, analyze and maintain the wastewater system.

- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting is needed. Experience in routine sample analysis desired.
- Must be able to work with, and properly handle, lab waste/chemicals as per Company procedures.
- Printed circuit board manufacturing knowledge is an asset.
- Knowledge of Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, CVS, UV-Vis, XRF, and titration procedures is a plus.
- Must demonstrate effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and team building.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the business language (English).
Pay may range from $21.00 to $21.00 hourly
