The Star Alliance office in Singapore coordinates the global activities of the Alliance including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 Members.Based in Singapore, the Lead, Project Management will report to the Senior Director, Delivery Excellence in the Digital and Technology business unit which provides Star Alliance member airlines with expert knowledge in the areas of Project Management, IT Solutions, IT Architecture, IT Operations and IT Security.This is a high-profile role responsible for driving the successful delivery of Star Alliance projects in close partnership with Product Owners and IT Solutions Leads.You will work primarily (but not exclusively) with the Customer Experience business unit. This team of Product Owners develops and apply digital and self-service technologies to offer customers efficient and seamless travel services.
Their focus is on enhancing the end-to-end passenger journey across key touchpoints, including Booking, Airport & Transfer, and Loyalty.
Job Description• Lead and manage multi-cultural and geographically dispersed project teams by building consensus to successfully achieve project goals and ensure project delivery• Develop project plans including baselines for schedule and budget according to the scope and risk associated with the project• Produce high quality project deliverables by applying the Star Alliance project management methodology throughout all project phases• Analyse project results and take corrective action to maintain schedule and scope delivery• Clearly communicate project plans and status to all stakeholders• Collaborate closely with Product Owners & IT Solutions Leads in the development of project objectives, project plans and project deliverables• Coordinate deliverables and schedules of the globally diverse Star Alliance member airlines and third-party vendors to achieve project goals• Facilitate project discussions, workshops or other forums among stakeholders
Your Profile• A minimum of 3-4 years work experience in a project management role• Understanding of the airline IT ecosystem preferred but not mandatory• Experience in IT systems development, preferably airline systems development• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification, or equvilant hands-on experience in project management• Experience with agile project management• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, handle shifting priorities and carry through on task completion• Proactive and self-motivated individual with facilitation and consensus building skills• Demonstrated leadership with a proven record of achieving goals• Cross cultural work experience, with exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills• Excellent organisational and analytical skills• High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance member airlines and other external stakeholdersThis is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled professional to apply their talent, creativity and dedication to a global team focused on delivering value to frequent international travellers who travel on our Members.
