Magento 2 Frontend Developer (Hyvä Experience Required)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Magento 2 Frontend Developer with strong experience in Hyvä theme development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in migrating from Magento Luma/Blank themes to Hyvä and building high-performance, modern storefronts.

• Develop and maintain Magento 2 frontend using Hyvä themes
• Lead or support migration from Luma/Blank theme to Hyvä
• Build responsive, high-performance UI components using Tailwind CSS & Alpine.js (Hyvä stack)
• Customize Magento 2 themes and modules as per business requirements
• Optimize frontend performance, Core Web Vitals, and page speed
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and QA teams
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
• Follow best practices in Magento and Hyvä development
  

• 3+ years of experience in Magento 2 frontend development
• Strong hands-on experience with Hyvä theme
• Proven experience in Luma → Hyvä migration projects
• Proficiency in:
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Tailwind CSS
• Alpine.js
• Solid understanding of Magento 2:
• Layout XML, PHTML templates
• UI components (basic understanding)
• Experience with Git/version control
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
  

• Experience with Hyvä Checkout
• Understanding of Magento backend/module development
• Experience working on B2B ecommerce projects
• Familiarity with Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals optimization
  

• Someone who can own Hyvä frontend development end-to-end
• Hands-on problem solver (not just theme implementer)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
• Immediate joiners preferred
  

• Contributions to Hyvä ecosystem / Magento community
• Experience in high-traffic or B2B commerce platforms
