Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryThe Maintenance Technician can identify and diagnose problems quickly and perform the necessary steps to correct the problem. This person has diverse and strong maintenance skills, great customer service, and strong verbal communication skills. Essential FunctionsConduct routine general maintenance procedures at property(ies).Diagnose & perform minor and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner.Pick up debris around community.Responsible for maintaining equipment in good working order.

Assists with other assigned projects. Non-essential duties include other job-related duties as assigned. Basic skill sets for general upkeep of property(ies), including, but not limited to: PaintingBasic PlumbingPressure washingBasic electrical knowledge, for light, ballast, and plug change outsBasic irrigation system knowledgeLight wood workingDrywall repairs Education Required - High School Diploma or GED.Experience Required - Maintenance – 2 yearsJob SkillsAbility to enforce rules, regulations and policies with tact, firmness, and to resolve problems or concerns.Ability to deal with people effectively, courteously, and enthusiastically.

Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to establish and maintain good customer relations.Ability to establish and maintain effective and congenial working relationships with other employees.Ability to understand and follow simple, oral, and written instructions, and to communicate clearly and concisely.Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomouslyAbility to learn new tasks.Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform assigned tasks.Ability to comply with flexible work schedules.Supervisory Responsibilities - N/AWork Environment Must be able to perform repetitive body mechanics, including but not limited to, climbing a ladder,standing, stretching, twisting, bending, crouching, and kneeling.Prolonged standing, Variable combination of outdoor and indoor environments while performing maintenance duties.
