Position: Construction Lead - Solar Projects (EPC)Location: Maharashtra Department: Projects / ExecutionReporting To: Project head / COO

Role Overview:The Construction Lead will be responsible for end-to-end on-site execution of solar EPC projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, safety adherence, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Execution & Site ManagementLead on-site construction activities for utility-scale solar projects (ground-mounted / rooftop).Ensure execution as per approved drawings, BOQs, and project timelines.Monitor daily progress and align with project schedules and milestones.2. Team & Vendor ManagementSupervise site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.Ensure optimum manpower deployment and productivity at site.Coordinate with vendors for civil, mechanical, and electrical works.3.

Planning & CoordinationWork closely with Project Manager, Design, Procurement, and QA/QC teams.Ensure availability of materials and equipment as per execution schedule.Participate in project planning, sequencing, and risk mitigation.4. Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams.Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Enforce strict HSE policies and site safety practices.Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident reporting.Ensure zero harm culture and compliance with safety norms.6.

Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary site interface for client representatives.Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.7. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.Track site issues, delays, and escalations.Ensure proper documentation of work completed, DPRs, and logs.

Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering10-15 years of experience in solar EPC / renewable energy projectsProven experience in utility-scale solar project execution

Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of solar project construction (civil, MMS, module installation, electrical works)Leadership and team management skillsStrong planning and execution capabilitiesProblem-solving and decision-making abilityGood communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:Experience in large-scale solar (10 MW+ projects)Familiarity with SCADA, testing & commissioning coordinationExposure to multi-location project execution

Working Conditions:Extensive travel and site-based role6-day working (as per project requirements)
