The role involves supporting the development, optimization, and scaling of manufacturing processes for smart electronic devices, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in designing and developing manufacturing processes, process flows, and work instructions for new and existing products.Prepare and maintain process documentation such as:SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)Control PlansProcess Flow DiagramsLine balancing chartsSupport pilot production runs and scale-up activities, ensuring manufacturing readinessCoordinate with vendors for the development and validation of:JigsFixturesSemi-automation solutionsAssist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization (CAPEX recommendations)Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, production, and supply chainEnsure adherence to quality, safety, and manufacturing standardsRequired Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsBasic understanding of manufacturing processes and production engineeringKnowledge of electronic device manufacturing / assembly (preferred: smart meters or similar products)Familiarity with process documentation tools (SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plans)Exposure to line balancing, process improvement, and lean manufacturing conceptsBasic understanding of jigs, fixtures, and automation toolsSoft SkillsProficiency in advanced MS excelStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood communication and coordination skillsAttention to detail and documentation disciplineAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentEligibility CriteriaDiploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering2-3 years of relevant experience in:Manufacturing engineeringProduction engineeringDevice/electronics manufacturingAdditional RequirementsHaving to travel for vendor development or plant requirements, frequently.Reporting ToEngineering Head - Product Engineering
