Job Title: Marketing Head - GenericsJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Marketing Head to lead our Generics portfolio. The ideal candidate must have mandatory experience in either the Generics pharmaceutical segment or FMCG / CPG industry. The role requires strong expertise in brand strategy, portfolio management, and driving sustainable growth within the Generics segment.Principal Tasks & Responsibilities:1.
Marketing Mix Development & DeploymentAnalyze the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM) across therapies, customer segments, and evolving market dynamics with a medium to long-term perspectiveIdentify and recommend strategic opportunities across therapy areas and specialty segments aligned with organizational visionDevelop, implement, and optimize a robust marketing mix for the Generics portfolioDrive high-quality business opportunities through strong marketing strategies and execution excellence2. Strategy Design & ExecutionAssess market conditions to forecast sales, demand, and market share growthDevelop short-term, mid-term, and long-term marketing plans with continuous market feedbackDesign and execute marketing strategies across therapy segments to strengthen brand performance and portfolio growthDrive lifecycle management including brand building, line extensions, and portfolio optimizationMonitor and evaluate investments through ROI-driven decision-makingImplement innovative strategies to expand market presence and prescription baseStrengthen growth of key and secondary brands while optimizing low-performing productsDevelop and execute effective pricing strategies to enhance profitability and contribution marginsManage the portfolio across lifecycle stages using structured frameworks (e.g., BCG matrix)Lead integrated marketing communication initiatives tailored to different customer segmentsEnsure effective customer segmentation and clear product differentiationDrive execution excellence through close collaboration with Field Force, including joint field work (18-20 days per quarter)Train and enable Field Force for effective campaign execution and messagingContinuously monitor execution effectiveness and optimize at key milestones3. Customer & Market DevelopmentDevelop and implement strong KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagement strategies and build a robust stakeholder networkParticipate in key industry forums to influence decision-makers and strengthen brand positioningTrack competitor activities and deploy proactive strategies to mitigate risks and capture opportunities4.
Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and guide a team of Therapy Heads (GPMs) and Product ManagersEnsure alignment of team efforts with business objectives including market share, growth, and profitabilityBuild a high-performance, agile, and accountable marketing team5. Budget & Operational ExcellenceManage budgets effectively to ensure optimal utilization of resources and maximize ROIDrive cost efficiency while maintaining high-impact marketing initiativesEnsure strong coordination with supply chain to maintain optimal inventory levels and uninterrupted product availabilityKey Requirements:Mandatory experience in Generics Pharmaceutical or FMCG / CPG MarketingStrong leadership and team management experienceStrategic thinking with strong execution capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience: 10+ Years Qualification: B.Pharm / MBA (Marketing) How to Apply:Interested candidates can share their CV at
