Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMaterial Handler III – Sparks, MDPay Rate: $22.15/hourShift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Requirements: Drug test required | Safety shoes required | In-person interviewsJob OverviewThe Material Handler III is responsible for the safe and accurate loading, unloading, storage, and movement of materials within a distribution center. This role supports both inbound and outbound operations, utilizing ERP and WMS systems to ensure proper handling, documentation, and shipment preparation.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Picking & ProcessingProcess customer orders using RF scanners and barcode systemsPick, pack, label, and prepare shipments accuratelyMaintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Ensure workspace meets SOP and safety standardsPalletizing & ShippingBuild and reconfigure pallets for shipmentScan and stage completed ordersOperate shrink wrap equipment and assist with dock manifestingTransport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE)Inbound/Outbound & InventoryLoad and unload shipments using WMS systemsAccurately locate, retrieve, and replenish inventoryPrepare documentation for domestic and international shipmentsSupport ERP processes including SAP functions when requiredEquipment OperationSafely operate forklifts and other MHE (order pickers, reach trucks, dock stockers, etc.)Maintain equipment certification and report issues immediatelySafety & QualityFollow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidentsMaintain warehouse security awarenessSupport company quality standards and goalsAdditional DutiesAssist with cross-training and provide backup support as neededComplete required training modules (C2C, RF systems, Hazmat if applicable)Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areaQualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or 3+ years of relevant experienceForklift certification requiredExperience operating MHE (Order Picker, Reach Truck, Counterbalance, Dock Stocker)Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse systemsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environmentBasic analytical and organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededRepetitive hand and wrist movementsOccasional climbingRegular exposure to moving mechanical equipmentIf you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 | [email protected].
