Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 4 years of experience in hardware product development. The candidate should be skilled in product design, comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, and capable of converting concepts into manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Create detailed 2D drawings with GD&T as per ASME standards
• Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for sheet metal and machined parts
• Select and integrate machine elements like gears, bearings, and linear systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, manufacturing, vendors)
• Support prototyping, testing, and product validation
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost requirements
• Improve products based on testing and real-world feedback
• Maintain design documentation and revisions (PDM tools preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4 years of experience in a hardware/product-based company
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings)
• Knowledge of DFM for sheet metal and machining
• Strong fundamentals in machine design (gears, bearings, linear motion)
• Ability to create manufacturing-ready drawings (ASME standards)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
• Exposure to thermal analysis, vibration, and IP ratings
• Understanding of fatigue and failure analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup environment
• Hands-on experience in prototyping and testing
• Familiarity with PDM tools
