Job Description
Description :Has a basic working knowledge of all medical office functions and assumes responsibility and accountability for documentation of examination, findings, and treatment plans for patients as relayed by physician. Actively uses electronic medical record to capture all relevant information related to patient care provided in the physician's outpatient office. The position assists the physician with documentation requirements during patient care, but does not actively participate in patient care. Assists Supervisor with additional duties as assigned & completes duties pertaining to functions of this position. MUST HAVE medical experience/medical office experience OR have experience with medical terminology Education:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Associates Degree in an Allied Health Related Field Experience:
No prior experience required Skills: Computer skills: word processing and typing
Solid knowledge of electronic medical record, medical terminology, medical transcription, anatomy and physiology Operates Photocopying and other office-based equipment Faxing/answering telephone.
