New Product Development Quality Director

New Product Development Quality DirectorThis role will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective implementation of Quality strategy and strategic operational goals within New Product Development processes, exceeding organization expectations for product quality, cost, delivery & volume and optimizing production quality levels during the product development and launch phase within ASMPT and externally at customer sites. He/she will be reports directly to the Vice President of Quality and will work in close collaboration with cross-functional team. Responsibilities:Develop New Product Development process from a strategic levelOversee the development of new product, including defining the quality control plans meeting design specifications and improvements of the overall quality product and process quality through the development phase till the launch phase internally and externally (customer site).Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the NPD processMonitoring industry trends and competitor’s activities to identify potential risks to the company’s reputation or profitsDevelop, maintaining and improving a robust Quality System, from NPD to mass productionLead and manage the quality function from new product conception through manufacturing process control to field analysisPerform and ensure risk assessment and mitigation action plan along with ITAF 16949 Quality standardDevelop and implement quality standard & reliability testing and evaluation processesImprove and maintain satisfaction with deliverable quality from both collaborative work with internal and external key project owners, stakeholders, manufacturing, and customers advocacyCollaborate with management and senior staff across departments and roles to layout quality standardEnsure to truly understand end customer requirement in which the new product is designed and developed to deliver and fulfilReport & review periodically the status of quality assurance and operation to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agenciesManage and maintain a high performing team that can deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions to NPD processSet department objective and monitor ongoing process and performance in a timely mannerEnsure strong communication between team under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvementsOptimising resource planning deliver necessary quality output to meet the quality assurance standard and manufacturing targetDevelop and implement a workflow governance process from scratch, utilizing APQP documentation and a lesson learned database, to drive continuous improvement in new product development and ensure sustainabilityEnsuring a good data Integration of the new NPD system with other systems (such as SAP, TRMS, TC etc) to improve data sharing and provide clear oversight to tackle the complexity of product portfolios across different Business Units and manufacturing sites setupLed a team of employees from different manufacturing sites (HK, China and SG) in a high-precision production plant, covering quality function from new product introduction/ development from different Business Units, incoming, outgoing, and after-sales customer complaints Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related subjectsCertification & knowledge of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000, IATF 16949 etc.)Proven work experience, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing perspectiveRelated experience in New Product Development, manufacturing and customer launch is preferableProven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and developmentExcellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliersExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to utilize Six Sigma Problem Solving Methodologies will have an advantage.

Able to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and schedulesRequire frequent travel to the China Plants, and possibility of stationingAble to use digitization tool to help automate and simplify data sets for ease of data analytics for example.
