Job Description
James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Physician to join a mission-driven team dedicated to advancing Veteran care through precision imaging. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services, including interpretation of PET/CT, SPECT/CT, cardiac stress test imaging, and general nuclear medicine, while collaborating closely with radiologists, oncologists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams in a dynamic academic environment. Physicians may also participate in quality improvement initiatives, teaching activities, and program development while serving our nation’s Veterans. The position offers a competitive salary of $360,000–$385,000 per year (actual salary determined through the formal VA pay-setting process). Recruitment and relocation incentives (sign-on bonus) may be authorized for highly qualified candidates, and the position may include a telework-eligible component as determined by the program lead. Additional comprehensive federal benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans; 26 days of annual leave, 13 sick days, and 11 federal holidays; CME support with $1,000 and 5 days of paid leave; malpractice coverage provided by the federal government; and student loan repayment up to $200,000 through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, hold an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM preferred), and possess an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state accepted).
