Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting a diverse student population from preschool through a transition program for young adults ages 18-22. This part-time position offers a balanced schedule, working 2-3 days per week during the 2026-2027 school year.
Your expertise will provide vital therapy services across several educational settings, with primary days of need on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and an additional flexible weekday.Required Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut Demonstrated experience in school-based OT settings Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow specialists Knowledge of best practices for serving students with a range of developmental and physical needs Comfortable traveling district-wide to multiple campuses Familiarity with IEP implementation and documentationKey Responsibilities: Provide direct OT services to students aged preschool through 22 within a public school district Perform evaluations, develop goals, and document progress in accordance with IEP requirements Consult with teachers and school staff on classroom adaptations and student support strategies Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Support students across varying developmental stages, tailoring interventions to meet individual goals Monitor, review, and update therapy plans throughout the academic yearThis role offers the flexibility to make a measurable difference while enjoying work-life balance.
